you can get some 3/4 inch plywood, place the prints between two mat boards and then between the wood. walk away and come back in a few weeks.
or find a used dry mount press.
you could use a warm iron with a piece of kraft paper to protect the image. i haven't done this myself, but know of people who use an iron for mounting with great success, especially small images who say they have used an iron to help flattehn fiber paper.

I just picked up some FB paper (cheap - a fellow selling his stock). I have never tried printing on it before. Just how critical is it to flatten the images after? I am especially hoping to do some fairly large pieces (16 x 20) so any tips would be greatly appreciated. I got this stuff at quite a discount, but that still doesn't mean I want to waste it making avoidable mistakes.

Jon,
It's a good idea to dry them flat to begin with. Just hang them in pairs, back-to-back, on a line, using plastic clothes pegs at each corner with more along the edges for large prints. The pegs leave a small shiny mark, but that's no big deal.
