  Q. Anyone still use (or remember) Daylabs?
Asked by Glen  Stromquist    (K=20) on 12/30/2008
I just cleaned out a basement room and came across a Daylab enlarger unit I purchased back in the 80's (maybe even late 70's)

Does anyone still use these units? I used to use it to make 8X10's from slides and if I recall it worked quite well. There was a paper called Agfachrome speed that required only one chemical so the whole process was fairly easy and could be done on the kitchen table. I stopped using it after Agfa stopped making that paper, but IIRC you could use any paper with it, you just needed to go through the extra steps with the added chemicals.

So, before it gets relegated to the trash heap, does anyone here know if people still use these? Is it worth trying to sell? Actually if someone wants it I'd gladly give it away rather than toss it, it should be still in good working order.

You could find an eager buyer on Ebay.
Start the auction at .99 cents.
You might wind up selling it for cheap,
but your buyer would be one who would
really want it. Great for Cyanotypes & other
alternative processes.
