Q. Nikon Announces D2Xs

Features a number of upgrades, better battery, better lcd display. Many upgrades are software accomplished so a firmware update for regular D2X cameras *MAY* be in the offing.

Its Basically a 20D to 30D upgrade, no real major imporovments but If your buying not upgrading no reason not to get the latest greatest model. Dont expect a firmware update for the D2X, that would kill sales of the new model IE: why buy a D2Xs when you can firmware update you D2X to do the same things??

"May" is no longer the word. Nikon has announced that it "Will" upgrade
the D2X with all the improvements of the D2Xs that are firmware based.
Apparently Nikon is concerned that it's customers might be tempted to switch to Canon if they didn't get the upgrade. ;)
