  Q. Old SLR 35mm RICOH KR-5 Vs Pentax K1000
Asked by Kanesis Yahoo    (K=20) on 7/28/2007

I have a Sear Ks-500 Same as Ricoh KR-5. Since Ive been doing lots of research in the past 3 days on the internet. I noticed lots of people love the pentax k1000. From what i can tell there basically the same my Ks500 is all metal design and all the functions work great. I cant find to many used ones but the pentaxs are resealing allot. I see sites that sell refurbs for 100 dollars and up. I want to know has anyone really had both of them side by side and seen if theres a major difference? Everyone says the pentax takes absolutely perfect pictures with the right settings. If these cameras are built the same whats the difference in pictures ? Thanks to all the pros for looking and possible feedback?
