  Q. NIKON D300 - Lenses
Asked by Andy Fletcher    (K=226) on 2/18/2009
Currently have Nikon D300 with AFS NIKKOR 18-70 1:3.5-4.5G ED. Looking to get an alround wideangle with zoom. Should I go with Nikon or Sigma? Advantages, disadvantages etc. Is there a real difference in quality with regards stabiliser, picture quality. If I were to get one good alround lense, what would you recommend? Appreciate any help in this area as I'm fairly new to photography

Sigma's EX line are very good, do hold up their own to all but the very best Nikkors.
Any other Sigma would not be the equal to a Nikkor, but are of course a lot cheaper (in other words, you get what you pay for).
