Q. Porto, Portugal

I'm spending 5 days in Porto, last week in September, on my own, purely for my photographic and gastronomic pleasure. I'm particularly interested in street shots and anything typically Northern Portugal e.g., old shops, doors, windows etc, or out of the ordinary city/bridgescapes. Anyone any ideas? Also - could someone recommend a relatively unspoilt town/village within an hour or two by public transport, for a day out of the city?
