Q. Err 5 on canon 20d help

I have been using a canon d20 for the past few years with about 16000 photos taken on it, the other day I want to take A photo I pressed the flash pop up button (which I very rarely use) and when the flash popped up the flash release mechanism kept clicking and then it came up with err 5. Is there a quick fix for this fault? Or will it have to be sent away for service? If it needs to be serviced who’s repritable in the UK

check the manual. Nikon prints a list of error codes and what you can do about them, I'd guess Canon does the same.
