  Q. Changing photos on website
Asked by Pat Fruen    (K=12073) on 9/28/2005
I am trying to change photos on my website, www.pkfruenphotography.com. We've been using something called ftp commander and have only succeeded in changing out two pictures but one is distorted and one is cut in half. Can anyone help me? Please! I can be reached at pkfruen@aol.com. Thanks so much!

sure you use binary mode?
Ftp has an ascii and a binary mode. Ascii mode mangles binary files. You can also compare the filesizes. If I remember correctly ascii mode inserts two extra bytes (LFCR) per 256 or smt. bytes. The mangled file should be bigger than the original in that case.

Also, make certain your original files are RGB color pal and not CMYK. The formats need to be jpg or gif. Also make sure your html includes the width and height
