  Q. Home Studio Equipment
           Asked by * James *    (K=20200) on 3/28/2009
My girlfriend has started selling some products online and I need a way to photograph the products in a rather professional way. A photo of the type of product I'm concerned with is attached. Other products are various jewelery items.

Can anyone advise me on the equipment needed for someone starting out in this kind of photography? I've never taken this type of photo in the past.

I came across one idea that looked like it might be suitable:

http://www.sharpics.com/complete-tabletop-studio-p-38.html?cPath=21

but, again, I have no experience with this kind of setup and as I'm in China I need to go to Hong Kong to buy this kind of thing.

Any ideas or advice is welcome.

BTW, that book those products are sitting on in the photo is a coffee table book of beautiful Ontario photos that I bought for my gf a few years ago. I think the first time she ever opened it was to use it as a stand for her photo
