  Q. Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 or Canon 17-40mm f/4 L USM
Asked by Jonas Amund Jensen    (K=186) on 4/3/2006
I've got the Canon 17-40mm L on a Canon 350D but i'm considering buying the Sigma 10-20mm instead. I'll be using it for landscapes so the 10mm sounds nice but don't know if the image quality can compare to a Canon L lens. Would this be a wise trade or would I be robbing myself?!

http://www.nikonians.org/html/resources/nikon_articles/nikkor/af/wide_angles_shootout/index.html here's an article comparing the Sigma with several competitors (though of course not the Canon, as it doesn't work on Nikon cameras).
