  Q. Nikkor LF Lenses
Asked by Justin Myers    (K=116) on 11/1/2003
I am looking to buy a new (to me) nikkor 210mm lens.

I know nikkor has a very high quality 35mm lens but what about their LF products?

Thanks

Justin

I use a nikkor 210/5.6 as my main lens on my sutdio (mono-rail), and I'm very happy with it. Very sharp, and very good coverage. I don't believe I've ever heard much of anything negative about nikkor LF lenses.

Thank you Peter.

I had a 150mm 1:5.6 Nikkor for my Wista 45 DX. If you're interested, I have two photographs made with it in my portfolio (30W-2, and adm_bldg), and more will soon follow.

Justin,

I was like you a few months ago and found a site listing all the Nikkor LF lenses and giving all the information you need to compare them:

http://homepages.tig.com.au/~cbird/index3.html

I also have a chart listing all the LF lenses. I'll try to attach it to this file.

Hope this will help,
JB

From what I have seen of the Nikkor 90mm SW's, these lenses are superb and are used by many professional Landscape photographers. I think your in safe hands.
