About This was taken last summer at our farm in Nebraska. I used a Hoya r72 IR filter. With long exposures you have to have calm winds. When using IR filters I have found that not use a F stop higher than F8 as it will create a hot spot in the center of the picture with the smaller apertures.

Christian Barrette   {K:21125} 12/4/2005
Superb use of the IR look and feel.
Thanks for the info on not using an f smaller than f8. I may not have noted this before, but will take your word for it.
What type of light reading do you sue with the R72 on ?
I rely on my camera photometer but easily add a +1.5 EV factor.

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 12/4/2005
Hi Christian, I have the camera on Aperture preffered, set the f stop at 8 and let the meter do the shutter speed. It works best in bright sunlight so you get some contrast. I am shooting in RAW format but the exposures look adequate for what I use. Thanks. Don.
