I love this lens. This was the first chance I had to try it out and it works great with the 5D and the rebel. It's sharp even at 200mm. I had to sell two of my lenses to get it and it was really worth it.

If you're looking to shoot mostly without a tripod I think the 70-300 IS will be the best. The 70-200 doesn't have IS (unless you want to spend 1,100). Plus you get an extra 100mm which will come in handy for wildlife shots. :)
