About Just a grouping of leaves. Taken on My back deck on a overcast day. The light seemed to bring out the colors a bit.

Very nice collection of leaves on the wood background, John! I like the different colours and texture of the grain in the wood.

Very nice grouping and display John. They are pretty colors.

This makes me think of people. Like these leaves, we all come in different sizes, shapes, colors, all look a bit different but when all is said and done, we are all the same............not sure if this came out right, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, great photograph, I like it.
Have a GR8 evening John,

Lori :)

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 12/5/2005
It's hard to beat natural colours and combinations, John!
Even on an 'overcast day' there's beauty all around us!
Best regards, Chris

gorgeous mix of colours created by the leaves. The are very prominant against the wood as a backdrop. Very good capture.

Colin Cartwright   {K:15699} 12/5/2005
A wonderful and colourful portrayal of the dead leaves, that only autumn colours can give. I'm surprised that the dull light has brought out the colours, John. As I find the hues are emphasized, in full afternoon light.

The dark wood as background, accentuates your leaves, nicely. Saving as favourite, John.

Colin

Lovely formal arrangement. You're right, overcat light is excllent for such colors as you illustrate beautifully with this shot. Nice work.

The overcast is the best light for this. This looks so elegant with your bold black border. This is a wonderful wall picture. Don.

These leaves make great models. They seem to tell a peaceful story interacting with each other. Different colours, differnt shapes, different sizes; all getting along. Hmm, maybe there's a lesson here.

I've been tending to other projects for a couple of months and am now catching up on UF comments. Thanks for your October comment on my image, "Canoe at Rest II." This is a lovely composition, John. I like that you included a green leaf along with the ones that have already turned color. -- Naomi

Great still life capture John, like the contrasting colors of autumn against the weathered wood. Thanks much for the kind words to my image, best wishes.
