wow.. this image does bring back memories of Amsterdam, I guess that only cities in china have more bikes... I remember trying to drive in the city without running into someone on a bike ... pretty hard task :) good work

Many years ago, I rode a bike around Amsterdam and remember the experience fondly. This is a clever and effective way of doing a kind of panorama. Best wishes, --George

Great combination and tribute!!! You've included some fine 'specimens' and one that 'had it' (left bottom... ;-D)!!! Nice colors, excellent views and compositions... you've even selected them in order of 'facing': the left to the left, the middle (all handlebars and saddles... great idea... close-ups) also to the left and the right column all to the right... now that's what I call eye for detail.... well done!!!

Thilo, You have done a wonderful job of composing this collage. It is one of the great memories of Amsterdam. You never forget the bicycles everywhere. You have captured that memory with this image. BTW congrats on your recent BIP for the B&W Parliament Building image. Andre

This is an interesting concept. I enjoyed noticing differences between bikes... one painted in two different colours, for instance, and another with a rather unusual shape. Another time you could concentrate on adding variety to the different bike shots. I notice they all have their saddles. In Japan, normally a fairly law-abiding country, the people have a blind spot about stealing bikes and dumping them at the end of the ride, so some people remove the saddle.

Nice composition of images. I like that you have used the dof to help make details such as a bike seat or handle bars stand out in the two center images that would otherwise be too cluttered. I also like the many colors from the bicycles surrounding the images, and it appears that the owner of the bike on the bottom left won't be riding away on it any time soon.
