Hi Dave, Good shot of this cocky looking grouse (hen) Very inquisitive and alert creatures. I like the lush summery feel of this image, and the grouse stands out beautifully against the herbes and the grass. The small strip of what looks like the trail you were on is a bit distracting, but I know how hard it is to command and direct those birds. They just don't listen, do they? Good photo, with a high level of details, and very natural tones.
