Most unusual. The stamens look like the elongated arms of a dancer.I see a figure in the middle wearing a mask!Your new lense has done a good job here, nicely sharp.
.....................Regards,Tony.

L. Gould   {K:11900} 12/10/2005
Beautiful! The black and white works very well here. I really like the flowers to the side--we can see just enough detail and that adds a lot interest. What color was this originally?

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 12/10/2005
You have to wait until tomorrow, hehehehe...I changed the title to "the ballet" because it reminds me of a ballerina..thanks Laurie

Lily     {K:11009} 12/10/2005
Very elegant, both the bloom & the comp. An orchid I presume but nothing like one I've seen before. I agree with the ballet dancer analogy. Looking forward to the color version.

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 12/10/2005
Thank you Lily, this is one of many flowers on a bush, have no idea either what kind it is but they are pretty small, and I was fortunate to isolate this one...thank you dear!!

Petal Wijnen   {K:47829} 12/10/2005

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/10/2005
Superb B & W flower, Linda, and exquisite presentation! It looks like a ballerina seen from above, what a treat! I love the clarity and also the subtle greys of the leaves, so elegant, and so unusual! The curved lines are fantastic, and so are the B & W contrasts. Amazing flower and composition! Congrats on your new lens, too! Hugs, Ina

György Szönyi   {K:8347} 12/16/2005
Dear Linda, this is indeed a lovely image. Technically perfect and the BW version brings out the "floweriness" so strongly. The title is also very good, indeed the flower looks as if dancing ballett. Congratulations, György

david henderson   {K:10882} 12/17/2005
.....very pleasing and well composed black and white image Linda, good work. cheers, david

Roland Lacson   {K:12214} 3/9/2006
I prefer this over the colored version simply because of how the flora sticks out over the dark backround giving the latter more depth. Composition is complimented with superb contrast & tones, well taken Linda, regards.
