Beautiful Montage, nice layout, these three images go well together! I like that you still have a bit of the falls in the backgrounds but havnt made that the center of interest. Niagara falls is so beautiful in the winter;)

Linda Bique   {K:74033} 12/10/2005
Excellent montage, a series that definitely tells a story, the black and white tones are perfect..Great work Ina!!

Thanks very much Linda, sorry I've been away for a little while :)

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21606} 12/10/2005
Ina, great triptych of iced Niagara. This is very beautiful BW formulation of the first winter decor of this great place. I like you keep the falls in bluried background for the reason not to take over the focus of your composition. The Great Niagara is still there present in a close distance and with all its majesty. Great job Ina, n.j

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/10/2005
Thanks Andrzej, It was very dark there yesterday :) I was away for a few days, catch you soon!

dear Ina,
very good combine in here, great B&W contrast and balance on the linear objects. and very good passage between different but similar 3 part.

love it.
my best wishes,
tutku.

ps: snow not here now :) i have to be on tenterhooks...

Neal Nye   {K:15827} 12/11/2005
This must have been positively magical, and what a nice job of showing it. Each panel is outstanding by itself and the total presentation is a delight. Very nice indeed.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks very much Tutku, here it is very cold, not a lot of snow, but a lot of ice :)

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Neal, sorry I'm a bit late with my comments. It is magical, if you go after a storm - everything's coated with ice :)

Kathy Hillard   {K:25721} 12/11/2005
You sure captured the cold well, Ina...I feel like I need to grab my coat and gloves! That kind of ice coating makes for beautiful images! I wonder if either a black or white line between the images would set them apart a little better? Just a thought...it might make this too busy. Each shot is great! Nice to see a post during youar time away!

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Kathy! I'm still not crazy about doing collages, only out of necessity :)
These were very crisp pictures, and you can't see them too well when they get so small. With regards to the vertical separation, it never crossed my mind! It could be something to try for the next one :)

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:17991} 12/11/2005
Very creative collage!!! I love the patterns! have A LOT to learn from YOU!
Love from Gabriela

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Gabriela, collages are not my preference, these shots lose a lot when they get so small, you're really looking at their thumbnails! We had a guest and took him to Niagara, it was very cold! The moisture (spray) from the falls coats all the surrounding objects. Thanks for your kind comments, Love, Ina

Robert Kocs   {K:89061} 12/11/2005

Mark Longo   {K:12757} 12/16/2005
I like the three side-by-side images in the panoramic crop. B&W is a good choice for this because I think it creates and interesting set of black with white lines, a common aspect of each shot. The patterns are interesting with the man-made lines in the center shot providing a nice contrast from the natural lines in the outside shots. I also like the uniform contrast levels through all the images.

On the framing, given the similar tones in each image I might suggest a small separation of black between the images so that there is perhaps a two pixel separation. This would give each image it's own viewing space while still allowing the eye to combine the images. Also, perhaps the white bands top and bottom could be a soft gray shade or a bit thinner as they seemed to confuse my eye a little and compete with the images to some degree. Of course, it's ALL my subjective taste, and this is a nice collage of images.

Nice composition. The three pictures compliment each other very well. Nice sharp details. Very very nice. I like it a lot.
