Thanks Ant :) It reflects how I feel about winter :)

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:17991} 12/11/2005
This shot is very rich in details. My eyes keep going all ways. Sure, I love the details, the frozen water is magnificent. The tonality you chose for it makes the scene irresistible. Very beautiful, indeed.
Love from Gabriela

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Gabriela, I'm not a winter person, you can tell :)

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 12/11/2005
I like the toning that you chose for this piece. It's almost like an old-fashioned gold toned print. I'm sure this size is just a hint of what it would look like as a 48" x 48" on a wall.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Mark, I am happily using those filters - plus I tweak them after, they are a fantastic tool, never a dull moment! Thanks again, and again :)

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 12/11/2005
Anything to keep us creatively busy! (I know how it is especially with work) Thankfully, I can take Sat & Sun off after 5 straight 12 hour days! Whew. No chance to photograph, but looking forward to any and all photo ops.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Wow, that's really busy, Mark! I used to think photo opportunities were away from home (travel), but now with PS, I could go for another year without taking any new pictures, just combining old ones. Here it's getting cold (as demonstrated) and photo ops last only about an hour before freezing :)

Lydia Dotto   {K:694} 12/11/2005
Very dramatic colors and texture. I like the sepia treatment.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Lydia :)

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 12/11/2005
Thanks for reminding me. I've some old slides I should dig out and scan! Yeah, that 60 hr workweek, I'd get home and have 2 hours before bedtime. Just enough to go online and say hi. Gotta do that at least :)

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
I really appreciate the visit & comments, Mark! Old slides can become new opportunities in Photoshop. Also, when you can't go outside, there are still lifes around the house, just waiting to be discovered. Best regards, and enjoy your free Sunday!

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 12/11/2005
Thanks, and you have yourself a well-deserved Sunday off. I'll for sure look for some still-lifes around the house.

Robert Kocs   {K:89061} 12/11/2005
I think so scary this scene, the colours and details remind me the fright night. Perhaps just I feel this but I think it's true feeling. Dear fiend, your image very nice and very unique and frightening in one. Very well captured and seen! Great negative silhouette of the tree, love the well detailed background. Great moody scene with creepy details! This shot also saved my favs! :) Great work dear! Thanks for share us! Look forward to see the next work dear! :)

Cheers!
Robert

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks dear Robert! I hope it's not too scary :) Again, it's a single shot, not negative, it's a positive image - the white tree branches are covered in pure ice! But I made it a dark and gloomy atmosphere. Thanks for saving it into your favorites, I feel very honored :-) Best regards, Ina

Hi Ina! Gorgeous tones & textures, a truly different winter shot! Very nicely composed! *hugs*

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 12/11/2005
Thanks Elisa, I have some more winter white trees, which reminded me of yours (haven't posted them yet) - Hugs :) Ina

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21603} 12/11/2005
Ina, no doubt this one is a stun - great tones, contrasts and lights, even if the frame is very complex it's finely tuned and structured to show overall harmony. It is an extraordinary image expresing spirit of winter embraced Niagara Escarpment. My fav. I'm happy having you on my friends list. Cheers, n.j
