Still in the process of getting the hang of this technique. The right hand side of the above image is perfect but the left is a little off in terms of perspective - the lines are converging in from the end making the foreground bigger and the cliff face appear smaller. I'm nearly sure this is because I had the film plane off square - which could prove limiting in future. For the shot itself, well I placed myself in the river bed, mounted on a tripod and took an exposure every 30 degrees or so until I made it the full 360. Shot on jpeg and stiched in PTgui. I particularly like the way the flare and blown highlights fit in with the overall image.

I've been to a place called mahon, but it wasn't as beautiful as this place! I like the strange perspective in this image, it gives my eyes something to do, and the sky is great, full of life. You certainly planned it well, I hope that you didn't get your feet wet!

Wow, full 360 deg. ! Very good pano work, a breathtaking scenery ! I didnt try out circular panos, but I can imagine how tricky it is. Congrats !

Hi Shane, Saying "not bad at all" would be a major understatement. Very well stitched, that much is for sure. And not an easy tastk... I tried it a few times myself, and I have a few waiting patiently to be stitched, but I'm affraid I could not match your result.
One question, though: Standing in the midlle of the creek, how did you manage to capture it only once? I'd say that if you took the first shot with the river in view, you'd see the other end of the stream after 5 shots (180 degrees). Or am I making a judgement error here?

Welcome back Hugo,
Due to the fact that I am still getting used to this technique I shoot approx every 30 degrees. So I have about 12-14 images to gather all the detail for the stich. Its too much though and I think that half would be enough but still while you are there its no harm to get it. The most important aspect is to record the film plane as verticle as possible. Any deviation from this makes for hard work when stiching. The first shot above was taken to the left of the creek but compositionally it worked better in post production to centre this feature. I like the above image but the mountain on the left is slightly distorted. Hopefully I'll get thehang of it soon.
