About The range of contrast is really too wide even for film in this one, but the colours and forms encouraged me to upload it anyway. My trip to the Gyoen Park was quite productive; the colours were beautiful.

Roger all three of today's offerings just jump off the page. They are like little paintings. Wonderful! Very nice job.

The colors form a nice abstract. Nice colors but a bit busy.

Hello Roger,
I like very much these colours and the framing with the tree on the right. It gives a perfect harmony to the image.
Stunning land!

I like the patchwork mix of colours. I'd like a closer look but don't seem to be able to get large images with the new UF - this is less than one sixth of my screen: am I missing something?

It is indeed busy, but nevertheless a joy to look at. Wonderful colors, exposition is right. Would be interesting to know how it looks with a shallow DOF, focused at the red foliage

Cheers

Carsten

Not knowing the size of your screen that's a hard one to answer, John but the image is actually 750 pixels wide (I uploaded 800 and Usefilm reduced it to 750). There is a setting in your preferences which should (default) be set to "Large" but you should check it. It was initially set to "Medium" in error and the reset may have missed you.

It is lovely. I'm not sure what you mean by the the range of contrasts, it still looks beautiful to me. Do you mean it is on the light side? Please say more. Thanks, Rodney

Roger Williams   {K:83327} 12/27/2005
Rodney, I just meant that the contrast between the dark shadows and the bright reflections from the plants on the pond was too great for faithful reproduction without considerable adjustment. I had to brighten the shadows and darken the highlights. Glad you liked the final result...

Wow Roger, beautiful!

This looks like a carefully compose, beautiful painting. I love the combination of colours and the gentle mood you have created.

Another well painted image full of peace and tranquility.
