About He has a little cheap camera that LOOKS like a real slr(but weighs maybe two oz total)-its the kind that used to come free with a subscription of time magazine. He loves it, carries it everywhere, asking people if he can take their picture. It has one roll of film-its been exposed numerous times. One of these days soon i'll let him shoot a real roll. (and not in that camera, im pretty sure it doesnt really work ; )

Janet B   {K:16139} 12/17/2005
Really cute...another budding photographer :)
I wouldn't be surprised if that camera really did work if you can load film in it ... unless it is actually broken :(
Probably comparable to a Holga?

Hi CorrieLynn,

that's a lovely portrait, and I like the black and white conversion here a lot. good to see that the youth is keeping up the photo idea... as early as possible is the best way ;-)

best wishes,
Thilo

Ha, thanks janet-it definately doesnt work. Shutter is stuck open-film doesnt always advance, lense has no, well, lense...its just a hole, the shutter stays open most of the time...and there are quite a few cracks in it.
I was kinda hopin it would be a holga kinda thing too-but mind you i got it for a nickel at the goodwill, so im not too disapointed;)

Kay McIntire   {K:11787} 12/19/2005
So cute- gotta train them young! My son used to do that same thing,...now he has a REAL dSLR!
great shot, Corrie!

Mark Wlaz   {K:4558} 12/26/2005
I love the way the camera totally obscures his face, and yet there is still a lot of "expression" that is revealed in your image. Very nicely done.
...And, good to get them started early in life!
:-)
Mark
