Great lighting. I really like this one with his eyes looking to the side better than the one where he looks at the camera.

Darrin James   {K:3944} 1/2/2003
Wonderfully expressive

The eyes make the image.

This is a wonderful portrait, Jay. The lighting is great and you've kept so much nice detail in the darker parts of the photo. The expression is awesome as it draws me into asking what he's looking at and what he's thinking. Its a positive, confrontational portrait. Great work.

Wow Jay. This one stopped me cold. The texture in the face... I can feel it. The look in his eyes... I can see it. This is fantastic! Love the close comp as well. Thank you for taking this.

Theoretically, and practyically too imo, this was cropped slightly too close to the lips, but it doesn't bother me here... The eyes are just so strong, that I can't look elsewhere - except for his fantastic skin maybe...

The more I see these pictures of this man, Jay, the more I want to meet him... I guess that's the best thing your photos could have achieved. Excellent.

And happy new year to you, too. :-)

10 from me too Jay, can't say I'd like him on my wall! But those eyes.....speak.
