About The National Theater is the biggest architectural set accomplished by Oscar Niemeyer in Brasília destined exclusively to the arts. It is one of the central points of tourist interest, in a city in which the monuments impress by the sobriety and architectural rigidity. Admittedly, it is there, even though concealed, in the plans of Lucio Costa, in the plans of Juscelino Kubitschek, in the plan of their first inhabitants. A theater that was built from need and by the dream.
It has the form of a pyramid without apex, characteristic of the aztec architecture. It was calculated by Joaquim Cardozo, the poet who I had the domain for the great masses of armed concrete. They are 3.608 glasses in the east facades and west. The white cubes in the north walls and south, of several dimensions, drawn by Athos Bulcão, also pass of hundreds. These reliefs are the biggest and more monumental work of urban intervention of Athos Bulcão. In the elaboration of the project, Oscar Niemeyer had painter's collaboration, theater scenographer and technician, the Italian Aldo Bald.

Essa foto é bem a cara de Brasilia, esse céu azulzinho ja recebendo as primeiras nuvens de chuva...
