stay true to your signature style but step outside the box regularly too. ;-)

Great shot, love the expression and light. Has a bit of an 'Amanda' feel to it!

David,
The tones are exceptional in this photo. I don't know how you and Jant B do this stuff but you have quite the knack for it!! Wonderful shot. Its like you caught her in a blissful stare. The hat is wonderful...very playful.
regards,
Damion

thanks a lot Damion, I wish I was really talented but I'm not so I'm using every trick possible to get decent shots done. One of those tricks is, as simple as it sounds, to shoot a lot. The other is looking around here. There are so many great photographers here and I always get inspired by what they do and how they see things.

Last but not least I'm obsessed with my kids and kids in general and I always feel the need to make them look as interesting as possible on photo. I think I would be loudsy shooting things I don't care about. I don't think I could get good shots done.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments.

Une très très belle image David...cet objectif sigma semble être d'une grande qualité

David,
I personally think it takes an eye for the photo, including subject, composition, lighting ect to make it really what it is. You can do all the tricks in the book with PS but you have to have a photo to work with first!

I wouldn't place yourself as "Un-talented". You have to have that photo first before you can apply all those "Tricks" of yours. I think that can be one of the best parts. You take a photo that really wasn't much to look at, but through the vision you had in the first place, you make it what you really wanted and then Wahh La...there is your amazing photo.

Digital photography isn't just about the camera. Although we all would love to be at the place where the photo comes out of the camera just the way we invisioned it but for most of us..thats just not reality.

The other half to Digitial photography is the processing....just as it is in film. But there must be a visionary! You!! That takes talent! Keep at it David. You'll get better and better the more you do.
Regards,
Damion
