About what (Jewish) engineers do when they have too much time on their hands:-)
...yes, it is made of pipe fittings and nothing else
(we haven't yet found the candles that would fit in the pipes, so we still lit the small hanukias this year, but next year we'll have to think of something, maybe some olive oil lamps)

Hey, thanks a lot. Have a very happy 2006, too!

one of your best, in my opinion. Strong composition with each element having it's role. Even the small piece of cloth in the upper left helps keeping the eye into the frame. congrats

It is also a very attentive abstract. Well well-designed thought and nice composition!

My first thought was that it is a Menorah! Very creative use of copper pipe! Well taken Hannah.

Dear Hanna,
We have Rosh Hashana coming up next weekend, so I wish you a very Happy New Year. I find this Hanukia well constructred by whoever built it & very well captured by you, color, composition & all.
Thank you for your comment.
Shalom,
Rafi

Rafi,
I wish you a sweet New Year, too! I hope you will be inscribed for health, happiness and a lot of achievements.
The hanukia was a "team project". A friend came with the fittings and then we put it together. All in all very enjoyable experience. I'm glad you liked it.
