About I was interested at this attempt to add some natural greenery to Tokyo's concrete jungle. I am very happy with the framing and perspective of this shot although the trace of barrel distortion is a bit unsettling.

Really like this one Roger, great perspective, beautiful contrast. Lovely detail, i like the relationship between the pillars and the subject, nice work. Have a safe and happy new year!

Stunning perspective, excellent distortion correction. To my surprise I see graffiti. excellent photowork.

Nice b/w Roger. I love street photography and this is really nice. Cheers to you for the new year.

Yes, Rob. Japan eventually adopts all the evils of modern "civilization" and grafitti are beginning to pollute our public spaces. Currently a minor eyesore but definitely on the increase. I love the work you are doing with that Mamiya 645. I am finding the Kiev/Arax very heavy/unwieldy, and have not had much spare time to learn how to handle it. A project for later this year when I have more time...

Hi Roger and happy new year,
very nice perspective. The lines in the frame are so cool! ... and the tree in the foreground is perfectly in contrast with the concrete jungle.
Bye

Thank you GG, and the same to you! I am so happy you like this one. I just noticed it, put the camera to my eye, and "click." But it is one of my favourites.... Sometimes I get lucky!

Do I see graffiti acrost the street? I thought that never happened in Japan? The only distortion that bothers me is in the foremost column, the join near the top almost looks like a spiral. Happy new year sir!
