This is most likely a Whiptail - CNEMIDOPHORUS - but the tail is not in the picture.

Hi Mike, I have no idea about the kind of lizard, but I like the camouflage and unity in colour in it. The DOF is appropriately used to separate subject from background. Very good shot.
