Ade,
I have been away from usefilm for a while. In the meanwhile, you have managed to improve your photographic skills so much.
So many beautiful images. When I met you last year, I was intrigued by your interest in camera gadgets. I knew it was only matter of time before you perfected your skills.
It shows now.
Excellent work mate. (Mate ! I m in Wigan nowadays. Here everybody calls everyone a mate. So I thought I might as well be a Roman when in Rome !)

Did it take you long to think of the title.This is just so different from a one steve produced recently but equally as good.Nice water and wel thought out. weired actually.

Hi Ade - Love the title. :) This is wild! I love the curve in the water and misty flow. The reflection in the upper smooth water is memsmerising....almost like one could skate on it. Another signature ade perfect water exposure image. I love it. Really nice work.
I hope you had a great start to the new year. I'm back and posting again after going away for a little flying holiday. Didn't venture too far from the airport due to rainy weather though so no aerial shots this time. Will try again later when the weather clears.

it has been a while mate!
and I call people mate too - I'm from Clitheroe too!!
I've learned a few things over the last year - shooting RAW and using filters correctly being the mail ones really. So glad you can tell the difference - been a long haul after all!
hope you are well - if you're over this way (Leeds) then give me a shout, we'll go find something to point the camera at!

Cheers for the comment. This original of this was a little lighter, but the dark areas didn't reall yhave much impact - they were just dull and that was taht
I upped the contrast with Curves and realy liked the effect - the light on the crest sold it to me.
Wiers are just little dams that control the flow of rivers and streams. The mail usse came in the industrial revolution when mills and factories needed water to power water wheels - they would dam the river and make channels off them that would take the water over a water wheel, or to a boiler when the age of steam started. They are also used in navigable rivers - the Thames has wiers and locks when you get out of London.
Useful things, but have great potential for water shots

I agree that halo of light just under the surface of the water was a selling point for me too. I meant to say something before. This might be brighter on a black or dark BG. I've had good moody shots go black on this white background. Alot of these kind of shots lose there dramaitc punch in the smaller size too. Ah well, progress.
