About I'm kinda partial to this shot. (this is your pause for laughter to subside). There was no color removal by the way, alas I did tweak the contrast, brightness.

Oh, this is very cool, Larry.

One of a kind shot...always appreciated. Well composed by the way, funny what that little bit of sign does to this image.

hi, deserves recognition on so many levels!...clever or what? the title is perfection and the shot is humorous, appealing and wonderfully executed,Larry!

Hi Larry, I'm curious why you're partial to this shot, it obviously has a very strong eyecatcher in it, and I think you captured it beatuifully, preserving the subtle contrasts in the snow. Also, the fact that the stop sign is placed off centered is a good thing. Because of the contrasting tone, it needs no further attentio by cropping, although I think you could've cropped a bit off the left side, to create the same framing as you did with the tree on the right, (making the edge of the photo run through the snow, keeping the uncovered bark of the tree on the inside of the pane. Hope you see what I mean.

Cheers,

Hugo

Gayle,

Thanks for your praise, I would be open to getting you a copy, is it for personal use or commercial application? Anyway we can discuss further via my email: larrydonnelly@comcast.net

hi, oh no,not commercial, just thought it would look cool to hang on my wall once i get a printer.....i currently sell mine by the higher 300 dpi res. as a file via email,so thought maybe you did,too...regards,gayle

Not a horrible storm as winter ones can go, about 7" and no dreadful temp drop like we usually get from a snow, heavy and wet and perfect for tree coating, had two like this so far this year.

Hugo,

Partial can mean part of something, or can mean you like something more or perfer better, than something else, I'm partial to chocolate versus peanut butter for example. English can be a bugger with our double meanings but I wouldn't have near as much pun... er fun. I have done several variations of this one shot with some effects and cropping, probably post one or two more. Thanks for your comments.
