Hi Tim, Beautiful to see what landscapes are uncovered at low tides... The soft, warm light is exquisit, as usual.

Cheers,

Hugo

very lively colours on these stones, kind of inviting place with its sandy pathwy amongst them. Lots of dark apce here Tim, I don't know if that's a useful thing, it may be, the round shadows on the rocks are a a real feature.

The color saturation as well as the wideangle perspective are definitely stunning.
Depth and details are outstanding.
Did you use the 12-24 lens ?

Regards,
Marco

Tim  Schumm   {K:28854} 1/6/2006
Hi Marco,
yes it was the 12-24mm Nikon

Dave Stacey   {K:138117} 1/6/2006
Great lighting, Tim, glad you could take advantage of it. It's amazing what the water action does to solid rock, and you've captured that perfectly.
Thanks for your comment, too!
Dave.

Excuse me, i think i missed the final - YOU succed in this, to compose nicely, to have an interesting foreground that drag the eye into the image and move around - back and forth - watching all details. Also, you are good to fill the frame in a good way. Then, exposing nicely, there´s separation (good tonality) everywhere.

This one is excellent Tim!

It might be just me, but I see a new lens listed here right ? Been busy as heck and getting kicked around at work, so no pix on the post !
Been overcast the last 2 weeks straigth also.
I really enjoy this shot !!! Tons of foreground and great composition and color.

Hi Jim,
So good to hear from you. I was wondering where you have been.
YEAH It's been a long wet winter there too with almost no sun for months...just lots of enormous puddles as a result.
I got this lens 7 months ago for the trip i was embarking on and haven't taken it off since. It was worth every penny in the mountains.

Alison DuFlon   {K:36557} 1/6/2006
This is beautiful for the patterns in nature project, there are so many of them to see. Wonderful lighting and great perspective. Alison

Don Loseke   {K:32503} 1/6/2006
Another beauty. Shows great depth.

Debarshi Duttagupta   {K:26686} 1/7/2006
fantastic. Is this a ner lens ?

Tim  Schumm   {K:28854} 1/7/2006
Hi Debarshi,
I bought this lens about 6 months ago to be able to get the Rocky mountains in. It has paid it self off right away. I have been able to get full images of areas that I couldn't come close to capturing before. I haven't taken it off since.

Great light and textures. I can really "Feel" this scene. I'd love to poke around here myself.

Bill
