About Natural light. I think there might be a slight distortion from being too close... but taking your own photo without a tripod is hard to do without getting that distortion.

I wanted to play around with a high key portriat, mostly!

Very attractive
Congratulations!

Would you mind sharing with us how did you provide this smooth brightness? (asking as an amateur)

Thanks! I don't know what program you use, but I use Paint Shop Pro. I used blend layers to get the effect. First I duplicated my background layer, made the duplicated layer a "screen" layer, left the opacity at 100%. Then I merged those two layers so I had one background layer again, duplicated that again and changed the duplicated layer to an "overlay" layer. I added a gaussien blur to the overlayed layer. I adjusted the opacity so it wasn't TOO blurred. That's pretty much it, aside from a few other minor adjustments.

Striking. Porcelean... Yes.

A very tasty high-key experiment, Mel.
(Hint: Tripods cost ~ $30)

True... true, but it's not even MY camera. So then I'd buy a tripod for a camera that I don't even own! LOL

I'm hoping to get my own soon and all the accessories to go along with it ;o)

Awesome work. I really love the high key tones and the eye-contact.

una luce incredibile per un ritratto che toglie il fiato...
la pelle sembra veramente di porcellana, è una bellezza che pare poter durare per sempre..

Well the good news is that almost all cameras use the same tripod connection.

smart arse!

Good solid composition, a little distortion but nothing to serious Melanie. Excellent light from the window and works well as a high key.
