Nice, Joggie, Very nice... I lie the bakclightin; exploding effect, as if looking at a fountain galore. Quite abstract and dynamic. The black in the top left corner creates a slight unbalance in the composition, but I see no alternative solution (yet), as including the base of the thistle is quite important here, I believe. It shows the origin and references at the entity of the subject. Good work, and again a very impressive shot.

Thanks Hugo - I must agree with you, thats the weak point of this image. I cropped out most of it but kept the remainder in order to get the compositional lines to the right and bottom. As I took this against the sun and on slide film, there was no tolerance and I lost all detail in that section and could not bring out some of it in PS. In the end I decided to live with it, hoping the rest is strong enough to pull it through. Take care my friend.
