About In the waning light of the day the reddish grasses come to life at the edge of the sea. The rippled effect is a result of a large storm having just blown in during high tide dragging large logs ashore which bump and grind their way to the final resting spot on the high part of the current tides. As they progress up the shore they create this pattern in the shoreline grasses

Excellent colours in this light, Tim! The golden grass reminds me of the prairies after harvest!

Hi Tim, interesting! You've captured that rather subtle pattern very well. Good strong tones, too, and a well balanced composition.

Cheers,

Hugo

Still taking great shots, but this one seems chunky and a little blurred. Are you scaling to the 750 pixels? Or maybe when you upload you need to adjust the sharpening check box?

Orrrr...

A long exposure?

Tim  Schumm   {K:27168} 1/18/2006
yeah it's not the best of the lot...low light, slow shutter and hand held i guess....the weather sucks here right now...30days of rain!! so not much to shoot and i guess i am submitting 2nd rate shots...lol

Visually strong with wonderful textures leading to the paradoxical horizon line. peace and confusion.

Cheers - Bill
