great reduced color setup and good usage of the woman as a focus point. unfortunately, the JPEG compression really hurts a bit.

Hi Paolo, strong leading lines in this photo, with the woman in the background as subsidiary, but vital element to break the geometry, and place the scene into its perspective. The low level of saturation works well, it creates a strong atmosphere. Good work!

I join and echo the chorus of praise, but wish that sharpening had not been so obvious on the woman, who is such an important part of this beautiful photograph. The edge-enhancement has added an obtrusive white outline to her dark dress... Surely better without this. But I applaud the image--well seen and beautifully captured.

First, my congrats to you, Paolo, as if anyone deserves recognition for their fine achievements it is you :)!!
Now...you are making me feel very lazy showing these older people climbing these stairs and walkways...I am out of breath just looking :0)
I imagine that they are used to this and maybe why the elderly can still tredge on uphill...good for them :) Does snow make this impossible to manuever? I can imagine it would be really slick!
