it is inspirational how you have taken a big hunk of dirt with a few non-descript trees sprouting from it's top and turned it into a truly beautiful landscape image, very well done indeed!

Patrick, this is exquisite beauty. You've done a marvellous job with this landscape.

Beautiful scene Patrick. I get the feeling this would be stronger though if taken with a longer lens. The moon would be larger the depth of the scene would be flattened a bit more and greater focus would be placed on the rock formation. The upper regions of the sky and far left/right of the image although beautiful aren't really adding a whole lot to the impact of the scene for me. I think you could have had a strong image vertical or horizontal. Attached are some initial thought which I should of course be taken with a grain of salt. I'm not sure if you're cropping your images much or how you feel about that. I never bothered to ask. As for the crop/longer focal length I think I prefer the horizontal. Great to see your work as always.

I like how you have caught the Moon just above the rock and trees. It is almost as though they are having a friendly conversation. The gentle lighting is lovely.

Thank you Jim for your expert advice. I did take several comp of this scene and like you know me I do have vertical shots also. :) Not exactly sure why but I feel that this was stronger in a central composition but I am aware that some will disagree. I will take closer look at the other composition that I have and would love your comment on those also. You have a really good eye and I always appreciate your critics.
