this is a photo taken in a demonstration held on the aniversary of the military coup in sept. 12th, 1980. After the coup, many people were tortured, put to prison, denied of citizenship, and many were killed or "lost". the people in this photo are those who were killed /lost then. the makers of the coup and others who are responsible for this loss are stiil protected by a law that they temselves had passed then; it is not possible to sue them. the demonstrators on september 12th 2005 (where this photograph was taken) were openly accusing the generals, demanding them to be tried on court. I guess this was the first crowded demonstration with this demand.
