Good action shot. These birds are NOT easy to photograph in the air. You did a good job.

Very nice capture of these pair, James!

Wonderful, that long glass and the 1ds really can pull them in at the hands of a good photographer! excellent...

Excellent composition. I'd love to see a larger version of this to see some of the detail of the cranes. The way the hills in the background are placed in relation to the cranes provides a great sense of place and orientation. Wonderful photo.

A beautifully composed photo James with the hills in the background giving a superb natural framing for the birds in flight. The clarity and details in the birds are wonderful. An excellent image.

I see you got us both on the front page today. At least I wasn't the gabby one this time. Congrats on making the front page and thank you for your excellent critique of my waterfall image which got me the FC on the front page too.

Cheers - Ann :)

I agree that the composition is good, but I can't really take credit for composing it. I was just tracking these two cranes and waited for good wing position. They just happened to be in a nice place with respect to the background. I suppose I can take credit for tossing the images where the composition wasn't very good though. :)

Thanks for letting me know I got you/us onto the front page. I usually bypass the front page and miss those kinds of things.
