THIS IS VERY BEAUTIFUL!!! I love icons and all sorts of religious paintings, they are so different from what we call painting. I wonder if you heard about the painted monastries in the northern part of Moldova (Romania), which is know as Bucovina (?)You'd really get busy there!!!

hi Gabriela, many thanks for you several kind comments to my recent pics! i love icons too, i have many books on this subject and i love the way they depict the perspective, the minutely detailed figures, the precision of design, their always original and delightful balance and their splendour of colouring, i dont know anything about those from Bucovina, i will search for them in the net. thanks for the hint and all the best!
