Wow, now thats just wild Joggie. Fantastic colours and the clarity is awesome. He seems like a little old man, rather than a baby gecko (if thats what it is?) Brilliant!

Hi Nigel

This is the sibling of the yellow chameleon I posted a week or so ago. A few hours old and about 15mm in length. Regards.

Hi Peta
this is the sibling of the yellow Knysna Dwarf Chameleon I posted a week or so ago. A few hours old and about 15mm in length. The eggs hatch inside the mother and the young are then born alive (ovi-vivi pari, fully ready to face the world and tend for themselves. Regards.

Oh this is wonderful. He looks so fragile and delicate. I love everything about this image. The vivid colours, the sharp detail in the chameleon, the diagonal branch on which he's so precariously perched and the DOF are all superb. A pleasure to view. Poor little mite struggling so hard to survive in this world and so tiny.

Thanks also for your comments on my images Joggie.

Cheers - Ann :)

A great capture AGAIN and a high quality shot! So clear and sharp in details, a pleasure to watch! And the backgound colour is the mosrt beautiful magenta, indeed the bougainvilleas must have been in gorgeous bloom. I like it very much!

Now this goes into my favs!!!
The composition with the diagonal and the leaf on top is outstanding.
Did you work with a converter here?
Perfect!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mireille - This was shot with the Nikon 105mm micro, fitted with a Sunpak GX8R ringflash. No converters, taken at maximum magnification (1:1). Regards.
