Wow.. is this real? I am gonna have to look at this more and come up with some kind of intelligent comment, cause my brain is not working right now other than telling me: WOW!

You have to tell us more about how you took this shot or what you might have done to it in PS. Incredible!!

Don Martel   {K:551} 1/17/2002
Steve nothing was done to this in photoshop ... that is one huge sand dune behind this tree.. It was taken in the Namib Desert .. I had waiting 15yrs to get there ! .. So I shot it up like crazy... ! the desert was very very good to me .. We had .. if u can imagine a thunderstorm with lightning in all .. which I did photograph! .. and a rainbow ... I am probably one of the only people who have photograpy a lightning storm in the Namib desert ..

This was just one of the many "normal" shots taken ..

I shot 80rolls in 10days

I know I sound like everyone else, but WOW! This is incredible. For a "normal" pic, you sure do well :-)

Connie Sunderland   {K:386} 1/17/2002
Gorgeous! And yes I have to say it, WOW! When do we get to see the non-normal shots ;) I can't wait!

Debbie Groff   {K:9569} 1/17/2002
Awesome!

This looks like a still from the movie The Cell. I'm expecting to see Jennifer Lopez walk into the frame at any moment... JCB :)

Cool! someone just gave me an idea for my next vacation destination:) I hope I can afford this one...

Joffre Swait   {K:626} 7/17/2002
Don, the 15 year wait was worth it, if only for this image! It reminds me of a Japanese garden ...

Jon Rank   {K:637} 7/17/2002
Most of us wait all our lives hoping for a shot like this. Great job.

Christian Gennert   {K:555} 8/31/2002
Amazing...

I've fantasized visiting Africa for the wildlife since I was a kid. But Namibia ranks right up there as a 'don't-miss' destination when I finally do go, and largely due to images like this.

Mauro Machado   {K:1159} 3/7/2004
Fantastic photo. It looks like a painting inspired by Japanese drawing.

Hi Don,
I have been through your whole portfolio. It is very good! i enjoyed many of your wonderful photos. To bad you live so far away. It would have been nice to meet at some time.
