WOW Amazing action shot. The first time I saw this sport was in OZ when I went back on 2002. I was watching then thinking how amazing it was but I had no idea of just how complex the whole setup was. This photo show all the details of ropes, handbar and harness as well as his muscles working that thing. Looks like hard work to me. Also looks like they have quite a bit of control over the kite. You even caught the frozen splashes of water leading up to the board from the water. Fantastic catch. Well done. Oh Yeah I'd love to have one of those L lenses too.

thanks for your comment Ann, it was a great day for it just wish the wind was from the other direction so that they were facing me for the photos instead of having their backs to me . i love all my L series they are great :).

From what I can see Jason this guy was facing you but he's in his own shadow so that's why he looks dark. Sometimes the elements aren't always with us for the perfect light but you sure did catch the action in this one.
Oh yeah and about those L lenses...*grunts like Tim the Toolman*

Jason: Sweet action shot! They do this on a frozen lake here using skis and snowboards. Of course, they dress more warmly.
