Wow! I am in love with this shot! The colors are amazing and I especially love it when people find beauty in such weird places! Is this oil on pavement or something? It looks liek it, but either way it's amazing, excellent work!! :)

Hi Rachel, thank you for your comment. this is a found on the road, yes, it must be oil. I have other light interference in my portfolio that I intentionally do using different element. apprciate your visit... thanks !

The colours are wonderful, and I like the way they appear to be "leaking" out of the substance at top left. Until I read the comments I thought this involved CDs, but it is all the more impressive that you found it in the street.

thanks John for your comment, it really is slowly flowing from the substance although it appears that they have a great difference in level on picture it really is just an almost flat surface.

I wasnt sure what it was when i first looked at the thumbnail. It came across as just an abstract of unknown origin, then it appeared to be some sort of galactic shot. finally, it occurred to me that it might be gasoline on the street which tends to have those streaky colours in it. It is indeed colourful and nicely done.

I'm curious what you mean by "light interference" though. Can you explain a bit?

James

Light interference is actually a disturbance in the light waves that create the different wavelength in the light spectrum, thus producing the diffrent color.
Its a thin film of liquid similar to gasoline that is above the water and has the same thickness as the wavelenght of the light thus reflecting back from under the water in different color.
thank you James..
