Hi Ina,
It does indeed look like a laughing head. Well titled! Is this the real name of this place? It's very beautiful and your focus and clarity is so good. Nice pano too.
Susie

Hi Susie, I don't know what it's called, it looked to me like a face :) it's on the edge of the lake, one of the many pools and geysers - the "eye" is boiling :) Thanks very much for your comment! Best regards, Ina

Nice find Ina...looks like a Picasso to me. Three beautiful C's...composition, clarity and color!

Thanks very much Robin, it does look like a Picasso :))))

The colours and textures are the bonus here! Every pool with its colurs and then again different in the rippling water of the lake. The texture of the rock is almost tactile. If I stay long enough looking at the panoramic I can hear even the sounds. Very beautiful, very painterly!
Love from Gabriela

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/4/2006
Thank you very much Gabriela! The rock is on the edge of the lake from the other two pictures, all in the same area. It's a photographer's dream :)

What beaufifully calm, clear water, Ina! You've captured these colours and patterns very well. I see what you mean about the face!
Dave.

Thanks very much Dave, it looks like a modern sculpture, I think :)

Great composition here Ina. I love how you;ve captured the pools but have enough of the large body of water to appreciate the lovely translucency of the water. Beautiful colours and textures and oh yeah...there's a face there alright. hat water is so inviting I almost want to dive right in there and paddle around except for the fact that you mentione dthe smaller pool is boiling. Think I'll pass on the swim after all. Of all this series I like this one best.

Cheers - Ann :)

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/4/2006
Hi Ann! You better use a hot tub!!!! These are not only boiling, but there's a witches brew of sulphur and minerals (mind you, that could be good for arthritis - LOL) - but you might turn into a toxic roast :))) My best shots actually turned out from a different area of the park, Mammoth Springs - and those were taken with my trusty little Panasonic. Go figure! Always nice to hear from you, I was thinking of you (and Bob Walker) while looking at more CA pictures. I have some open fields covered with yellow wild flowers from last spring from the same area... More memory lane...Cheers, Ina
