About Not sure if she snapped this one, but she still had the remote in her right hand. After a while I shut that off, but let her keep thinking she was snapping :)

Nice high key Janet. Not sure who to give credit too for this one! Nice perspective though, and I so like that unwavering gaze of hers. Adorable.

Hi sweet Janet....I said you would need to hide the camera away. Little un has got the bug now. She'll leave all the technical work in PS to her assistant (that's you, of course)and she'll busy herself in self-directed portraiture.
Such beautiful eyes and a lovely expressive little face....wonderful stuff and well finished by Mummy. Very best wishes to you sweetie...Ray

Perfect available light and contrast dear Janet. nice mood and honesty feel!

Kes     {K:18269} 2/4/2006
Nice shallow DOF. That's called negative space on the left, right?

I think you're going to have to start a new membership in here for her Janet so she can get her own critiques. :) It's almost like she's saying "Mom, get out of my way - I know what I'm doing and when to press the button - OK?!" :) GReat shot - whoever took it. (hehe)

Cheers - Ann :)

Ninni Termine   {K:8961} 2/6/2006
Perspective original for this portrait, perfect DOF, and much likeable the expression of the child.

beautiful scene, I like the nice lighting and tones, very nice persepective and such a cute subject..

Rina     {K:26519} 2/6/2006
Love that the remote is in the shot too! Nice work Janet...

Following on from what Ann said, if she does take photographs on her own (not necessarily SPs of course), then it may not be a bad idea to set up a UF account for her too! My son has recently begun to show an interest in photography. Particularly after seeing my fascination with bugs :)) He's often in the garden with a camera. Snapped some goodies but needs to work on his composition a bit

Oooh, here's another idea! There should be a category or sub-section of UF just for child photographers! Too cool... imagine the "mine's better than yours" arguments from proud parents!!!

I say let her have it! I love the two she's taken...wonderful!

Janet B   {K:16139} 2/9/2006
Right, but not on her left...right?!

Janet B   {K:16139} 2/9/2006
I agree, Rina, that they should allow a special section for uploads that kids take...even if they aren't perfect, everyone has to start somewhere :) I'm all with you on the 'mine's better than yours arguments' that are sure to go on! Right now I'd fall under the 'pick & laugh at the images THAT kid took' catergory! A little humor never hurt...right?!!! :)

Great for your son, too, I hope you encourage and teach him! I'd love to see his photos!

Kes     {K:18269} 2/11/2006
Right, my left your left her right.

Jose Ignacio (Nacho) Garcia Barcia   {K:91622} 3/3/2006
