About ...the serie continues.

(I noticed after that been trying to post images that has a special red colour, that when posting the red/orange beeing so pale and grey....I tried many solutions and find out finally that if using Adobe RGB when shooting and then not change before posting this happends. So, just before posting i changed in ps from adobe to sRGB and also made some changes so it look as the original, and it was it... good, now i know. Second, the thumbnail thing remains...i posted this one first with any unsharp masking in uf settings and it turned out blurry in thumbnail - not talking large photo - and then when trying to add a little sharpening when posting, the thumbnail gets sharp too. I can´t remember this was a problem before....)

Looks wonderful my dear Jeanette...the original shot would have been great on it's own but you have created a startling effect in PS. Your model is so beautiful and that gorgeous hair looks fantastic. Well done to you my sweet...Best wishes as always....Ray

Unusual angle and the model is beautiful. Not only are you a superb photographer but also terrific with computer softwares. Clearly shows you are able to tame PS to your exact needs.

Hi Jeanette,
this portrait is very romantic!

Joel Aron   {K:14920} 2/4/2006
This is such a bold one Jeanette! My first thought was, head in a box. I love the balance of texture detail and color.

(I discovered the same thing with uploaded differences in color space. I'm sure you felt it more with your most recent images, as the balance is very delicate in the reds... something wacked with Adobe RGB, and JPEG compression. Recently, I've been applying a saved color correction (mostly gamma) to my images before I resize, and convert them to jpeg for usefilm. The thumbnail thing get me too. must be a compression issue to save space. All of the reds go flat in the thumbs. I can send you my saved color setting curve if your interested)

Anywhoo! Have a great day, and thanks for posting more form your very beautiful, and unique series!

best wishes,
-Joel

Beautiful portrait again, best regards...

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/4/2006
Very powerful image, with a wild angle and a bit frightening (in a good artistic sense) - a sensation of seeing a ghost in daylight, amplified by the cracks on the texture and flying hair. Superb layering and sensational visual and emotional impact! Best regards, Ina

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59778} 2/4/2006
HI Aron and thanks for your long comment about resize and colours and so on and yes, please send me your colour curve.... could be a help maby. :)

Great photograph

John Griep   {K:2518} 2/4/2006
Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of her...

Nice & Dreamy Jeanette.

Kathy Hillard   {K:25721} 2/5/2006
Very nice work, as usual, Jeanette!
I am not even in the same ballpark as you are in understanding all that is going on with the posting of images, but something has changed. So many of the images that I view look blurry in the thumbnails, and sometimes even in the medium view, but in large view they are focused. I've noticed that a few of mine look oversharpened in the smaller views, and I've done very little sharpening to them. In large view that goes away. I don't know if this is something that is going away or if we will just have to live with it.
Kathy

Mitchell Miller   {K:3016} 2/5/2006
wow!!! amazing!! a true work of art!!!

mm

Don Loseke   {K:32500} 2/5/2006
Interesting about Jeanette. Another beautiful creation. I really like this. Beautiful model or is it a self portrait?? Don.

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59778} 2/5/2006
HI Kathy! No i didn´t experience this before... and i always add a little little unsharp mask when resizing an image, but just little, cause sometimes the image look a little too soft, not blurry. But if not sharpen a little while posting the thumbnail look very blurry and thats a bad ad for the image in the recent photo section - at least in my opinion.
The opposite problem i haven´t seen but i have to check that too - cause it´s only the last one i have added a soft sharpening while posting at uf... Learning and learning. Ps has so much to learn, for so many reasons andusings and so on and for webb, for printing, different format.... the list never ends :)

Thanks for you comment Kathy!

Jeanette

Randy Lorance   {K:24958} 2/5/2006
Very interesting work on this latest series, I like it a lot. I know what you mean about the sharpening thing, I've had that same trouble I'm trying to work out.

Randy

Peter Wintergren   {K:531} 2/5/2006
Fanatastisk vilket porträtt, spännande komposition och hennes hår ser ju ut som om det var av guld. Mycket konstnärligt och vackert genomfört! Svårt att slita blicken från den här bilden...

Keith Fitzgerald   {K:1117} 2/5/2006
this is a great effect, almost like an illustration and as always great design is great art. Wow.
I'm waking up again after christmas - yesterday was my first day taking pictures for myself.
I'm looking forward to checking out the stuff I've missed on usefilm - almost like being away for awhile and coming back to a stack of unopened mail.
Best Wishes
Keith
oh and just to torment you - try ProPhoto RGB where you can have access to cyans, magentas and yellows which are outside Adobe RGB colour space but capable of being printed on pro epson inkjets but the big gotcha is your screen may not be able to see the extended colours.

Judit Kovacs   {K:563} 2/5/2006
Beautiful!!! Amazing... the composition, the idea, your creativity.

Congratulations, Jeanette!

Joggie van Staden   {K:41212} 2/5/2006
Another beautiful image Jeanette. I would try to soften the dark lines running over the face by a little PS masking though. Otherwise lovely!
