Hi Petal, I think the cold and drizzling helped to create this wonderful picture. I like the haze to it.
Well done,
Chris

The haze really makes the tree in the foreground stand out. The whole image has a very peaceful feeling to it, albeit cold and wet. What type of tree is that? Teunis has some pictures of the same in his portfolio, but no name. Beautiful imaage Petal. Regards--Bill V.

Hi there Bill,

It's a willow and those branches are being cropped/cut off every year right up to the stem, which after a while forms a sort of ball on top. The small branches or rather twigs are/were used for weaving baskets.

Regards, Petal.

You sure do have some pretty places to walk around. Another frozen lake. Looks really cold. Really nice scene here Petal and an excellent composition. Lovely place and great shot. (and you really were on the front page earlier - LOL)

Cheers - Ann :)

It sure does look like a cold winter day. I didn't realize that you had so much winter weather. Very nicely composed. Don.

Another very lovely composition sweetie. A very grey Winter's day but it has contributed to creating a wonderful moody shot. I love the diagonal of the jetty and the tones in the overall scene. Well done to you dear Petal, all the best....Ray
