What a well detailed and presented composition.
Great natural pattern with colourful tones.
Excellent idea, fine artistic work.
Well done dear friend!

Have a nice week end dear Bill!

Good Day Robert! Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Others have not been drawn to this image. I'm wondering why.

Have a great weekend yourself and good shooting.

I opened this with great anticipation, as I do with all your work Bill, but this didn't have the impact I was expecting. I guess I wanted sharp with high contrast......
On spending more time contemplating, the colours and textures are still delightful though. Being from a sub-tropical climate I see very few autumn golds and reds, so I'm drawn to them...lol

Hi Mel,

Thanks for your comments. I hope you aren't too disappointed with this image. Actually the softness of the image is intentional pointing out the pattern of change that happens quickly with leaves this time of year. One day this is what you see, the next it is on its way to brown. So, this image was meant to be subtle not an eye blaster. I guess this points out that we as photographers are motivated by our different experiences. And I know, as you said, that you appreciate the color and texture of this aspen leaf photographed in the wind.

Cheers and thanks for continuing to check my portfolio.

Bill

Ahh...thanks for the explanation Bill. There's the rub, not seeing these gorgeous changing leaves each autumn means I'm not attuned to the wonderful changes you get to see. And no, I'm not disappointed, not at all. :)

Wonderful colours, the composition I like with the strong diagonal line and the maze of patterns.
Great photograph
