Hello Ina. Still playing with the silverware? :-) The result really is stunning. Combining it with the sea is a superb idea. Sharpness and tones are fantastic.

Ina, YES! I see now why you wanted to repost. This is splendid photoart. Wonderful overlay of the silverware. Fantastic composition and I particularly like how the waves kind of compliment the tarnish on the silver. Nicely done.

Cheers
Rina

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/11/2006
Thank you so much Rina! I think you remember the first one from two days ago, I worked on it some more (all afternoon) - and in the morning I took some more shots out on my balcony, there was almost an hour of sunshine. So I'll be posting more still lifes with fruit and such. I'm sorry I didn't reply yet to you, I'm still downloading my new pictures, I'll be back tonight. Thanks very much, and see you shortly :) Best regards, Ina

A terrific idea, Ina, to meld the curves of the silver with the curves of the waves. The clarity and palette work extremely well together. Very nice!
Best,
Steve

Hi Ina! Love the exceptional tones, how they fit well together, and how the waves blend beautifully with the silverware. The "boat" is heading for new adventures ... creative stuff with enjoyable sharpness! *hugs*

Kelly Duntley   {K:13055} 2/12/2006
Kept heirlooms are as timless as the sea. These two images look wonderful together. The two images blend together great. Beautiful muted tones. Nice PS work.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/13/2006
Thank you very much Mohamed, I do have a few with the "boat" tray, I like the way it's carved and the antique tarnished finish which has many colors from the oxidation. Best regards, Ina

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/13/2006
Thanks very much Kelly, I put this title so people won't think it's about the Titanic :) LOL Best regards, Ina

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/13/2006

Ann Nida   {K:45230} 2/13/2006
Oooh I love this. Shades of genie in a bottle with treasures such as these washing up on the beach. Takes my thoughts to years gone by with memories of my grandmother (she lived near the beach and I could hear the waves crashing from her place) insisting we always dry the cutlery to a polished shine after washing the dishes (pre dishwasher days - LOL) so it wouldn't get water stains. Way to go to blow out the old memory cobwebs and draw out emotion from an image Ina. She always kept candy on a similar platter in a glass cabinet and all her grandkids used to open the cabinet and take the candy from the platter. She used to get such a kick out of even the smallest child knowing where to go for those goodies. Ahhh..the memories. Very nice and for me a moving image. Lovely.

Cheers - Ann :)

Ann Nida   {K:45230} 2/13/2006
PS...just had to have this one in my favourites. I really like it.

Cheers - Ann :)

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/13/2006
Thanks very much Ann, the Genie is out of the sugar bowl, I'm glad I brought you another memory :) I have the tray with colorful stones from yellow to turquoise and pink, amethyst, quartz and hematite. Not exactly candy, but close! I leave these tarnished, I like the colors in the tarnished silver, more interesting than a bright shiny look. Of course, for cutlery it's a different story! I'm really happy you like it, and thanks for adding it to your favorites! Hugs, Ina

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:17991} 2/14/2006
Great creation, dear Ina! It is almost painfully beautiful! I love this very much!
Gabriela

Mark Longo   {K:12757} 2/14/2006
The lines of the two layers are so ingeniously combined. Also the neutrality of the silverware colors bleds so nicely. A very organic looking shot!

Mark

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/14/2006
Thanks Mark, I was interested in making this look like a drawing, it is desaturated and flattened, sometimes I prefer this look to the real three dimensional photographic aspect. Best regards, and looking forward to see more from you :) Ina

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/14/2006
Thank you very much Gabriela, I went after a drawing look, flat with some reflections, but mainly low color and reflections. I'm really happy you like it, and best wishes :) Ina

Ina,
