Nicely composed, and beautifully detailed image, Darlene! I like the way you've caught the mane flying in the breeze.
I hope the devastation will be repaired and life return to normal soon. We're contributing and praying for you.
Dave.

Darlene,
Like some others have stated here already... the wind in the mane stands out in this shot to make set it apart from other horse's head profiles.
It works well!
Andre

Nicely composed. I like the limited palette of earth colors and the wind blown mane.

Nice horse portrait Darlene. You can almost feel the wind by the looks of his mane. Nice focus and details as usual.

Beautiful detailed animal portrait my dear Darlene and it is the mane caught up in the breeze/wind that is the outstanding feature to this stunning shot. Your dof is perfect, as always. Well done to you sweetie...Nature will always recover itself but after such devastation a great deal of human help will be necessary as well, I imagine. Best wishes to all....Ray

Beautiful horse,
I like the hair

Jim Goldstein   {K:21230} 2/15/2006
Beautiful portrait. I can't help but think this would be even stronger if the horizon didn't merge with the horses face. Perhaps blurring the background even more with a shallower depth of field or lowering your point of view would help. Aside from that the lighting and clarity are great.
